MANDATE
Threshold Theatre is a not for profit company whose mandate is to develop and produce dynamic and provocative contemporary theatre. Our plays draw on a diverse range of source material to address themes and issues we feel are of utmost importance to our age. Seeking to heighten the actor/audience relationship we present these works in an exciting range of forms and styles. Our work is driven by an urgent concern for the destiny of humankind and a belief in the power of theatre to affect creative change. Along with our productions, we seek to connect theatre and community through workshops, classes and events.
ARTISTIC MISSION
- To create theatre which explores human needs, conflicts and aspirations with immediacy and imagination.
- To forge distinctive theatrical forms for each new work inspired by its content.
- To honour the talent and intuition of each artist working on a project through a process of collaboration, improvisation and experimentation.
- To examine the connections between the personal and the political through our work.
- To further connect with our community by offering programs, workshops and events.
